The company leadership decided to evacuate the staff and close down Donetsk filter plant

The management of Donetsk filtration plant has decided to halt the plant and evacuate all personnel. This was reported by the press service of Ukrainian Ministry of Defence.

The agency reminded that the station is under shelling for two days already, the objects within the plant were heavily damaged as a result.

"It is impossible to maintain the work of Donetsk filtration plant under such circumstances, people are hiding in bomb shelter almost all the time. The management of the company has decided to evacuate the staff and close down Donetsk filter plant," the message says.

The plant is partially supplying water to Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka and Verkhnyotoretske village, which are controlled by Ukrainian Armed Forces. The station is also giving water to occupied Donetsk, Yasynuvata, Vasylievka and Spartak settlements.

According to the local military and civil administration, city reservoir is filled. Drinking water is being supplied to residents as usual.
