The National Police of Dnipropetrovsk region has opened two criminal proceedings over the grenade explosion in Kryvyi Rih. This was reported by the press service of the agency.

It is noted that the law enforcers seized two RGD-5 grenades with incendiaries to them from the apartment of the malefactor.

A 61-year-old man and three police officers were injured in the explosion. Passers-by were not injured.

Cases were opened under Part 1 of Art. 263 (Illegal storage of firearms and ammunition) and under Part 1 of Art. 348 (Assault on a law enforcement officer) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

Earlier, it was reported that Donbas conflict veteran blew himself up with a grenade in front of law enforcers.

The incident took place on one of the streets in the area of ​​the Yuzhny mining and processing plant. It is noted that the man first threatened to detonate a grenade, which is why the police were called to the place. Law enforcers negotiated with the man, but this did not help and an explosion thundered. The man remained alive, the ambulance doctors provided him with help at the scene. It is known that the man is seriously injured and his condition is grave.
