Ukrainian side completed the verification procedure of people who can be amnestied in exchange for the release of prisoners. Also, the militants promised that during the negotiations on the final exchange lists they will include the Ukrainian scientist Ihor Kozlovsky who is now in Donetsk. This was reported by Iryna Gerashchenko on her Facebook page, where she commented on the results of work of Minsk contact group.
"The only question is when the other side will stop coming up with the far-fetched reasons for the delay and we agree on the date of the release," Gerashchenko added.
According to her, a group consisting of representatives of OSCE, SBU, Office of Ombudsman drove more than 14 thousand kilometers, 20 regions and visited 37 penitentiary institutions.
"The OSCE recognized that the verification was carried out according to all international standards and humanitarian law, while respecting confidentiality. We insisted on participating in the meeting of the Ombudsman V. Lutkovskaya, who confirmed compliance with all these norms," the people's deputy wrote.
According to Iryna Gerashchenko, the representatives of Donbas ‘authorities’ delay the process and require clarification on some other prisoners.
The vice-speaker also stressed that during the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group, the Ukrainian side strongly condemned the fact of sexual harassment by militants towards a female representative of the Special Monitoring Mission of OSCE.
"We demand the surname of this scumbag and a punishment for him, it was also voiced by E. Marchuk, L. Kuchma, and the OSCE," Iryna Gerashchenko said.
Earlier it was reported that militants are holding in captivity 128 prisoners, according to Gerashchenko. She noted again Ukraine was ready to compromise to free the prisoners.
