Doctors stabilize 13-year-old bicyclist who was ran over by police car

The doctors have stabilized the 13-year-old bicyclist who was run over by the police car in Kyiv a day before. However, his condition is serious. Yury Dovbnia, the Deputy Chief Doctor of 'Okhmadyt' reported this to TSN.

'The state of the child is serious but stabilized. The surgery, mostly connected with the muscular-bone structures took place. The external fixation apparatus were imposed at the lower leg and shoulder. The complete diagnostics was held, the child is at the intensive care. His state is serious', Dovbnia noted.

At the same time, the correspondent of 112 Ukraine reported that suffered child regained consciousness.

As we reported on May 31 the road accident in Kyiv took place; 13-year-old bicyclist suffered severe injuries after the police car ran over him. The accident took place at about 9 p.m., with Volkswagen running over a boy who was driving the bicycle. The kid sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital.

The crowd encircled the car, trying to get the driver out of there; however, 'the police took him for a medical examination to check the alcohol level in his blood', the reporter said.

The criminal investigation on the road traffic violation commenced.

Earlier it was reported a car from the motorcade of Ukrainian leader Petro Poroshenko mowed down a bicyclist but the administration of the president belied this information.
