The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated an additional $7.7 million for additional payments to medical workers who are directly involved in the fight against coronavirus. The relevant decision was made at the Cabinet meeting.
“During the meeting, we supported the decision to send additional surcharges to medical and other employees of the laboratory units of the Ministry of Health, which are directly related to the fight against coronavirus,” Prime Minister Denys Shmygal stated.
He stressed that this is an “urgent need”, given the high workload of laboratory centers, which now operate almost around the clock.
As it was reported earlier, the draft 2022 state budget plans to allocate $7.3 billion for the needs of medicine. In particular, the minimum wage of doctors is supposed to increase to $755.
