Police detained a militant of the so-called “DNR” in Slovyansk, Donetsk region who was hiding from law enforcers for three years in Russia. This was reported on the website of the Donetsk region police.

“Slovyansk policemen detained a militant who was hiding from law enforcers abroad for three years,” the message says.

In April 2014, this local resident of 1958 year of birth was recruited by his son, who at that time headed the "reconnaissance unit". He enlisted his father to the "construction brigade." A man in peacetime worked as an excavator and a tractor driver, that's why he was "in demand" among the militants, and all the equipment was taken from the city’s municipal utilities.

After the liberation of the region he ran to Russian Federation and his son – to Donetsk with the illegal armed forces and is on the wanted list. In three years the man returned to Slovyansk. There, he was hiding in the basement of his house for two months and went out to buy the products at night.
