Druzhkivka (Donetsk region) police detained a 44-Year-old resident as a suspect in participation in the illegal armed formations, as Kramatorsk National Police City Department of Donetsk region reports.

“Within the conducted events it was defined that in early June of 014 when the city was under terrorists’’ occupation, a man joined the ranks of the armed gangs voluntary and carried out a permit regime at the checkpoints. The recruit was responsible for inspection of transport and people, who crossed the “stop-control” and protection of the city form intervention. For that, he was equipped and armed,” the message says.

The police reported that after the Ukrainian forces released the city, he moved out of it and was hiding in his partner’s house in Toretsk.

The man was detained and taken to Druzhkivka Police Office to conduct the necessary investigation. A criminal proceeding was opened under the article on the creation of armed groups not provided by the law and participation in them. He faces 10-15 years of imprisonment.
