The process of the disengagement of the forces near Zolote will last for three days as the HQ of the Joint Forces Operation reported on Facebook.
“Totally, the actions on the disengagement of forces will take place for three days,” the message said.
The forces are disengaged for a kilometer on both sides. Thus, the distance between them will be at least two kilometers. Taking the example of the division in Stanytsia Luhanska, the HQ noted that due to the great distance between the front lines in such areas, the number of the attack will reduce up to zero. It will allow opening the Zolote checkpoint.
The OSCE observers control the disengagement process and involve the drones in the process. The Joint Forces Operation command states that in case of the escalation of the situation, the Ukrainian soldiers are ready to return to the positions.
Earlier the HQ of the Joint Forces Operation confirmed the disengagement of forces in Zolote, Luhansk region.
Earlier Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko stated that the process of the disengagement of forces and equipment in Zolote village in the Luhansk region has begun, the next disengagement would be in Petrivske.
As we reported earlier, on October 1, the sides agreed on the beginning of the disengagement of the forces in Zolote (Luhansk region) and Petrovske (Donetsk region) during the Trilateral Contact Group session.
