Myroslav Popovych, the Director of Philosophy Institute of Ukraine died at the age of 88 as Volodymr Bugrov, the Vice Rector of scientific and pedagogical work of the Shevchenko University reported on Facebook.

'The horrible and grave news – Myroslav Popovych, the philosopher, thinker, human and moral authority passed away. It is a great loss for Ukraine. Rest in peace! Cherished memory to the dignified teacher!', he wrote.

Myroslav Popovych is the Ukrainian philosopher, academic of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, honored scientist and technician, Doctor of Philosophy, professor, pedagogue, specialist in culturology, logic and methodology of science, history of the Ukrainian culture, director of Philosophy Institute of Ukraine named after Hryhory Skovoroda, head of department of logic and methodology of Philosophy Institute.
