Akhtem Seitablaev, the director got the main award of the Kyiv Film Festival Molodist for the military drama 'Cyborgs'. The 'Scythians Deer' was given to him in the results of the Ukrainian Films Days that took place in Verkhovyna, Ivano-Frankivsk region as the press service of the festival reported.
The winner of the festival was chosen by the audience and the average appraisal of the 'Cyborgs' made 4.95 points.
'I am sure that we are the witnesses of the renaissance of the Ukrainian cinematography. I thank the audience for such high appraisal and that the Ukrainians are interested in the national films. I am sure in this because I travel a lot with the 'Cyborgs' film. I just returned from Kherson where 1600 people watched the film in one hall. It was not a cinema but the local authorities did everything for people from the regions to watch the film', Seitablaev said.
264 000 people watched the 'Cyborgs' as at December 26. The take of the film surpassed 690 000 dollars. As we reported earlier the 'Cyborgs' earned more than 300 000 dollars in the first weekend of the release.
