The journalists of ZiK, NewsOne and 112 Ukraine TV channels illegally closed by President Volodymyr Zelensky united to create a new Pershiy Nezalezhniy (First Independent) TV channel that will inform the audience about events in Ukraine. Diana Panchenko, the presenter commented on the situation.
“During 10 years of work at television, I made certain many times: there is nothing more back-stabbing and unfair than to divide Ukrainians to right and wrong. But all years of my work were accompanied by the possibility to say and express my point of view until Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelensky became the president,” Panchenko noted.
The presenter underlined that the closure of three leading news TV channels was iniquity from the side of the president but it made the journalists stronger.
“We will do what we have always done – inform people on truth: about tariffs, vaccines that are not provided, abject poverty that has not ended, iniquity. We will do it at Pershiy Nezalezhniy (First Independent) TV channel,” Panchenko stated.
Moreover, she appealed to Zelensky and asked not to turn to oppressor whom the president ‘would like to be’ and MPs not to be afraid to come to the shows.
“We can always provide you with the platform and possibility to talk. Even those who threw mud at as and supported the closure of three leading new TV channels. Come to tell the truth to people. Address your people,” Diana Panchenko added.
Soon, the viewers will be able to watch the channel on TV screens, and not only on YouTube. Webcast of the TV channel is available on the website pnk.tv.
The new TV channel will broadcast on ASTRA-4A satellite, 5°E. It can also be found on the largest cable networks of the service providers Volia, Triolan and other operators. The faces of Pershiy Nezalezhniy will be all the figures that are iconic and familiar to the viewer of the TV channels closed by Zelensky. The list includes Diana Panchenko, Pavlo Kuzheev, Vyacheslav Pikhovshek, Vasyl Apasov, Yuriy Bibik, Andriy Lashch, Rostyslav Sukhachov and others.
