Ukraine's Ombudsman called for questioning to General Prosecutor’s Office

Ombudsman Lyudmyla Denisova has got a call for the questioning to the General Prosecutor’s Office (GPO). This was said by Ombudsman’s lawyer Andriy Tarasov, as Radio Liberty informs.

“We got the appropriate writ from the General Prosecutor’s Office yesterday (on July 30 – ed.), and are preparing for the interview,” Tarasov said.

As it is reported, the lawyer did not say the date of the interrogation, explaining that the investigation is confidential.

There are no data about the call of Lyudmyla Denisova for the interview on the GPO’s official website.

As we reported earlier, the National Agency on Corruption Prevention revealed violations in the e-declarations of Commissioner for Human Rights of the Ukrainian Parliament  Lyudmyla Denisova in September 2018. Furthermore, the National agency of Corruption Prevention (NAPC) completed the full check of the e-declarations towards seven other public officials with the law violation.

In particular, the e-declarations for 2015 and 2016 of Chairman of the State Labor Service of Ukraine Roman Cherneha contained minor violations that do not entail administrative or criminal liability.
