The Defense Ministry of Ukraine has procured the heels for military women, who will march during the parade on Independence Day, six times more expensive than the price of the producer as politologist Viktor Taran reported on Facebook.
“Scandalous hills obtains corruption nature. Imagine, these hills were purchased by the Defense Ministry by 6,500 hryvnias ($237.13), while the producer sells them for 987 hryvnias ($36),” Taran wrote.
It is noted that the one and only tender for the purchase of women's shoes took place in summer 2020. The tender was won by Zhytomyr Dim Vzuttia. The cost of the lot is 3,250,000 hryvnias ($118,563).
“Thus, the price for a pair of shoes is 6,500 hryvnias ($237.13). It is the fact that embarrassed. It is possible to buy Lowa Zephyr army boots from second-hand dealers. Then I started to look for prices of Dim Vzuttia B. Nikolas. They have the page at prom. Bingo! Women's shoes made of leather, with the same hills, almost the same – 987 hryvnias ($36). In other words, six and a half times cheaper than the place of the tender. 6,500 hryvnias ($237.13)? There are even no such prices,” Taran noted
Earlier, we reported that during the parade on Independence Day, female servicemen will march in heels. Social media users immediately started to criticize the idea noting that this would turn the military parade into a "farce," and it is contrary to NATO values and creates absolute inequality between men and women. Particularly, some parliamentarians presented Defense Minister Andriy Taran with some high-heeled shoes.
The military parade dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine on August 24 at Khreshchatyk.
