The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine will soon hold a meeting on lockdown in Ukraine. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov during a briefing.
"As for the lockdown and coronavirus, I think that in the near future there will be a corresponding meeting of the National Security and Defense Council on this matter," Danilov said.
The NSDC secretary stressed that the situation in Ukraine is now extremely difficult.
He also added that this week the NSDC apparatus began to send information letters to local self-government bodies, and they began to hold meetings of commissions on technogenic and environmental safety.
Meanwile, Kyiv region will tighten quarantine restrictions from March 21 in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus. This was stated at a briefing by the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration Vasyl Volodin.
"An extraordinary meeting of the regional commission for emergency situations was convened today and a decision was made to tighten quarantine restrictions in the region," Volodin said.
