The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine at its meeting on Friday, October 15, approved the country's information security strategy in the context of Russian aggression. The Council's Secretary Oleksiy Danilov said this at a briefing, as Interfax-Ukraine reported.
"The issue of information security... there have been heated discussions about this strategy...You know that we are in a difficult position concerning the aggression of the Russian Federation. It exists not only on the front but on the information front, "Danilov said.
The information security strategy adopted by the National Security and Defense Council takes into account Russia's use of the media to influence Ukraine and its citizens.
The meeting of the National Security and Defense Council took place on Friday, October 15. For the first time in history, the Plan of Defense of Ukraine was approved.
In addition, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has imposed sanctions against 237 citizens involved in the elections to the Russian State Duma on the territory of occupied Donbas and the occupied Crimea.
