A Court seized the Hummer, which hit to death a child. Nadiya Maksymets, Press Secretary of Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office claimed this in her commentary to Ukrainska Pravda.
‘The Prosecutor’s Office filed an application for the seizure of the Hummer since the car serves as evidence in the criminal proceedings,’ Maksymets claimed.
The court viewed the application at the hearing on August 2 and adopted the resolution August 3.
‘Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv endorsed the designated application, and seized the Hummer,’ Maksymets claimed.
As we reported, Hummer vehicle ran over a girl, which resulted in her death in the ambulance car on the evening of July 24. He flew the scene after the run over but was detained. The driver is charged with violation of traffic safety regulations, which caused death and wilful abandonment of individual at the scene.
Earlier, the Prosecutor’s Office claimed that the driver took a drug test but refused to give other biological samples to conduct a thorough examination for possible use of addictive substances. Accordingly, the Prosecutor’s Office addressed the court with the application of forced taking the biological samples. Later, the biological samples of the suspect were taken.
