Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksandr Danulyuk wrote a letter of resignation as President’s Office reported on Facebook.
“Concerning the information about the resignation of Oleksandr Danylyuk from the post of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, we report: Oleksandr Danylyuk wrote the proper letter addressed to the president before the beginning of the working visit of Volodymyr Zelensky to the U.S. for participation in 74th UN General Assembly,” the message said.
The Office of the President noted that Zelensky will consider the letter after return to Kyiv from America. Danylyuk also confirmed information about the resignation.
Ukrainian News reported citing the NSDC press service that Danylyuk stays at the working place and has not filed any resignation letter.
Earlier mass media reported that Danylyuk filed the letter of resignation and he might be appointed as the ambassador to the U.S. or UK.
In May 2019, President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Oleksandr Danylyuk as the NSDC Secretary.
