A leak of dangerous chemical substance took place on the territory of an enterprise in Odesa. Rescuers managed to eliminate the accident, the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports.
"Rescue Service received a message that on the territory of the enterprise (the name and the form of ownership are established) on Borovsky Street in the city of Odesa there was depressurization and leakage of a dangerous substance during carrying out works with the capacity containing chlorine (volume of 800 liters)," the message reads.
Rescuers arrived on the scene on call and promptly began to eliminate the accident. They precipitated chlorine vapors by sprayed jets of water. Rescue chemists also applied a bandage to the depressurized container and measured the concentration of hazardous substances in the air.
Rescuers managed to eliminate the accident, the excess of maximum permissible concentrations is not observed at a distance of 50 meters from the spill.
As it was reported, an ammonia leak from the tank car in the territory of chemical warehouses happend on November 29 in Vinnytsia region.It later became known that the police had opened a criminal case on this fact.
