During October 26, 1,416 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Kyiv. Due to complications caused by Covid-19, 54 people died in the capital - a record number of deaths per day. Relevant statistics were published by Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko on Facebook.

It is noted that the largest number of cases of infection was found in Darnytskyi district - 247, in Desnianskyi district - 176, and in Sviatoshynskyi district - 162 cases.

So, during October 26, 744 women aged from 18 to 100 years and 493 men aged from 18 to 88 years fell ill - as well as 95 girls from 4 days to 17 years old and 84 boys from 2 months to 17 years old.

In addition, yesterday 150 patients with Covid-19 and 413 people with suspected Covid-19 and pneumonia were hospitalized in Kyiv hospitals.

It is worth noting that since the beginning of the pandemic in Kyiv, 254,447 cases of Covid-19 infection have been detected. During the same period, 5,991 people died in the capital. At the same time 227,334 inhabitants were cured of the infection.

As it was reported earlier, if Kyiv moves to the red zone, children and teenagers will not be able to visit the shopping malls without their parents' accompaniment as Kyiv City State Administration reported.
