The doctor stated that a 13-year-old girl was born with a pathology of the bowel. Three surgeries were held to eliminate the defect; however, the complicated surgical operations only worsened the state. A child got a recrudescent intestinal adhesive obstruction. A girl suffered from pains accompanied by vomit.

“Numerous hospitalizations and drug treatment helped temporarily. Without one more surgery, a girl would not only suffer but acute intestinal obstruction and even necrosis could appear and it is a matter of life. However, the elimination of adnation through open method (as previous three surgeries) threatened with the appearance of new adnations and it was not the solution,” the doctor noted.

With the help of Da Vinci, the experts made three 8mm punctures. The camera was situated in the abdomen and it broadcasted the depiction of 3D projection with 20 multiply increase.

A surgeon, who managed the robot, eliminated numerous adnations with minimal traumatization of sound tissue. It took three hours to eliminate the adnations.
