As it was reported earlier head of the Kyiv Patriarchate of Ukraine’s Orthodox Church Filaret said that Ukrainian Orthodox Church will never return to the Moscow Patriarchate, explaining his recent letter to the Russian Orthodox Church.

"I want to state firmly –there is no repentance that I chose the path of autocephaly of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, never was and never will be. Why will I never regret it? Because God gave us the state. And if we have the state, then in this state there should be an independent Orthodox church. This is an axiom. All autocephalous churches have passed this way, beginning with the Russian one," Filaret said.
