The criminal case has been opened due to an attack at the car of first assistant of President of Ukraine Serhiy Shefir with preliminary qualification as the attempted murder of two and more people as Prosecutor General of Ukraine Iryna Venedyktova reported on Facebook.
According to the Prosecutor General, the shooter had strong intentions as the spurts holed the car. She specified that the attack was held from the 7.62 mm automatic arm.
“Other details and comments will be provided later, after the holding of the first investigative actions and estimation of the situation. I ask not to speculate on this topic and do not fabricate something. The law enforcers do everything possible to identify the perpetrators and their detention, of course,” Venedyktova wrote.
As we reported, today, on September 22, an unknown shooter opened fire on the car of Serhiy Shefir, first assistant of President of Ukraine. The incident occurred near Lisnyky village, Kyiv region. The official did not suffer any injuries. His driver, on the other hand was wounded in the assault.
According to press office of Ukraine's Interior Ministry, 10 bullets hit the car, and one of them hit the driver.
