The occupation authority of Crimea is trying to “embellish” the facts concerning a touristic season and reports on a record number of tourists – 6,1 million, 1 million of whom are Ukrainians. Yet, the analysis of the results of State Border Guard Service activity attests to the absence of the trend of increasing of tourism in Crimea, as the press office of the Service reports.
“At the same time, the statistics of the occupants makes “Crimea’s touristic record.” It should be noted that they are counting just to draw nice figures and consider tourists all of those who cross the administrative border,” the representatives of State Border Guard Service inform.
In total, two million crossings on the administrative border with temporary occupied peninsula were recorded within nine months of 2018. While Ukrainians entered the occupied territory 996,000 times, which is the level of the previous year. And 1,011 million times of crossing the border towards inland Ukraine were recorded, which proves the increasing tendency (by 3%).
Besides, 1,4 million crossing were recorded during a touristic season from May till September. 690,000 of them were committed by Ukrainians towards the peninsula and 713,000 – from Crimea.
The analysis of passing operation in 2015-2017 demonstrates a stable tendency to reduction of passengers and transport flow and visiting of the occupied peninsula.
Reportedly, Ukraine claimed Russia’s unprecedented militarization of Crimea in the UN.
