Four die in military helicopter crash

The tragedy happened in Rivne region, northern Ukraine

A helicopter crew died in the crash in Rivne region on May 29, as HQ of the Ground Troops of Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Facebook.

“Late in the evening on May 29, connection was lost with Mil Mi-8 (helicopter of Ukraine's Armed Forces, - 112 International). Four members of the crew deceased, along with the commander of the 16th Detached Brigade of Army Aviation of the Ground Troops of Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the message reads.

Rescuers and law enforcers are now working at the site.

Reasons of the accident are being defined.

The leadership of the Defence Ministry, General Staff and Armed Forces of Ukraine's Ground Troops lextended their deepest condolences to the relatives and friends.

As it was reported, on May 29, 2014 Russian militants shot down Mi-8 near Slovyansk, Donetsk region.

Ukraine is making a big mistake , no doubt still advised by the US . The Donbass region will never be recovered by military action . Only peaceful and persuasive diplomacy will woo the separatist back in line with Kiev .
