The expiry date of the Indian CoviShield vaccine received by Ukraine on February 23 ends on June 23, 2021, as ZN.UA reported.

Considering the fact that Ukraine received 500,000 doses of vaccines, while only 38,237 people were vaccinated, the Health Ministry might be not able to use even the half of the vaccines.

As we reported, Ukraine's Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said he was not satisfied with the number of people vaccinated against Covid-19, so he decided to personally intervene in the vaccination situation to "significantly increase the number of vaccinated in the coming days."

Earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal claimed that the third wave of coronavirus pandemic began in Ukraine. He stated that the medical system in Ukraine is ready for the third wave of coronavirus pandemic. Shmygal also called on local authorities to observe discipline and take a responsible approach to organize anti-epidemic measures.
