The Health Ministry registered CoviShield vaccine with the violation of the regulation of the Cabinet of Ministers as Chairman of the National Medical Chamber of Ukraine Serhiy Kravchenko reported on Facebook.
“Today, the Health Ministry of Ukraine registered CoviShield vaccine produced by the Serum Institute of India with the violation of the regulation of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine #902 dated September 14, 2005,” Kravchenko wrote.
According to him, the Health Ministry has amended the legal framework and fit it for the vaccines of the Indian production on February 16, 2021.
“Currently, Ukraine recognizes GMP certificates issued by the national regulator of India! In other words, the comments and defects of the production of the Serum Institute of India detected by the inspectors of the Ukrainian Institute of Pharmaceutical Quality of the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control fell into oblivion,” Kravchenko noted.
On February 22, the Health Ministry registered Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine against coronavirus for urgent medical use.
Besides, the Health Ministry expects the arrival of the first batch of the vaccine against Covid-19 within an hour.
On February 21, the Health Minister reported that in India, the first 500,000 doses of the AstraZeneca-CoviShield vaccine have started their way to Ukraine.
On February 22, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the efficacy level of CoviShield, calling its one of the best vaccines.
