Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 8,710 new cases of Covid-19, including 374 children and 193 healthcare workers. Coronavirus_Info Telegram channel reports it.

2,544 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 370 patients deceased, and 19,408 recovered. 17,549 tests have been taken.

Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Kyiv city (753), Dnipropetrovsk (668), Kharkiv (623), Donetsk (569) and Lviv (478) regions.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2,114,138 people have contracted the disease, 1,750,570 have overcome it, 46,200 - have succumbed to it.

Meanwhile, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov believes that Ukraine have to purchase another five million doses of coronavirus vaccine in order to fully provide the population.

According to the minister, so far Ukraine has contracted 42 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine.

"In general, if you look at the number of doses that we have contracted, together with COVAX we now have 42 million doses of vaccines that have been signed. These are all this year supplies. And we need about five million more doses," Stepanov said.
