Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 5,804 new cases of Covid-19, including 530 children and 72 healthcare workers. Coronavirus_Info Telegram channel reports it.

2,082 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 297 patients deceased and 22,946 recovered. 32,694 tests have been taken.

Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Dnipropetrovsk (473), Donetsk (453), Mykolaiv (401) regions and in Kyiv city (431).

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 3,427,827 people have contracted the disease, 2,920,714 have overcome it, 85,414 have succumbed to it.

Meanwhile, G7 health ministers will hold an urgent meeting on November 29. At the meeting, they will discuss the spread of a new strain of coronavirus - the Omicron variant, which was found in South Africa.

The G7 is made up of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK and US, and currently the UK holds presidency.

“Under the UK presidency an urgent meeting of G7 health ministers will also be convened on Monday 29 November to discuss the developments on Omicron,” the Department of Health and Social Care said on Sunday.
