CovidUkraine: 5,182 new cases over last 24hrs

Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 5,182 new cases of Covid-19, including 330 children and 226 healthcare workers. Coronavirus_Info Telegram channel reports it.

1,889 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 111 patients deceased, and 6,144 recovered. 40,806 tests have been taken.

Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Ivano-Frankivsk (668), Zakarpattia (485), Chernivtsi (384), Vinnytsia (365) and Lviv (329) regions.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1,268,049 people have contracted the disease, 1,112,299 have overcome it, 24,285 - have succumbed to it.

Meanwhile, the European Investment Bank (EIB) will allocate 50 million euros to Ukraine for the purchase of vaccines for the population and modern refrigeration equipment for the network of vaccination centers.

"A corresponding letter on the amendments to the Financing Agreement between Ukraine and the European Investment Bank was signed during the Prime Minister's working visit to the EIB headquarters in Luxembourg that took place on February 12. The EIB is expected to allocate funds under the following project - 'Municipal Development Program infrastructure of Ukraine'," reads the message.
