Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 4,285 new cases of Covid-19, including 258 children and 93 workers. Coronavirus_Info Telegram channel reports it.
1,779 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 68 patients deceased, and 1,701 recovered. 23,066 tests have been taken.
Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Vinnytsia (598), Ivano-Frankivsk (526), Zhytomyr (466), Chernivtsi (335), and Lviv (315) regions.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1,352,134 people have contracted the disease, 1,171,724 have overcome it, 26,050 - have succumbed to it.
Meanwhile, Chief Scientist of the World Health Organization (WHO) Soumya Swaminathan announced the number of people on the planet who have antibodies to coronavirus.
According to Swaminathan, nearly 500 herd immunity studies have been conducted worldwide.
Answering the question of whether it was possible to achieve herd immunity in large cities in which a significant part of the population has been infected with Covid-19, a WHO employee noted that less than 10% of the world's population currently has antibodies to coronavirus.
