"According to the forecast calculations, the average number of new cases will be 10,529 (according to the statistical model of Facebook Prophet) and 12,369 (according to the SEIR-U compartment model) during the week of April 21-27, 2021 and 11,122 during the week of April 28 - May 4, 2021," the message says.
In particular, the following forecast is expected for the May holidays:
- May 1 - 10,238 (Prophet) and 13,717 (SEIR-U) new cases;
- May 2 - 4,131 and 9,581 cases, respectively;
- May 3 - 2,026 and 6,504 cases, respectively.
As we reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers extended the emergency situation and quarantine in Ukraine until June 30.
“The government extends until June 30 the emergency situation. The emergency situation, first of all, concerns the bodies of state authority and their constant readiness to counteract pandemic. Meanwhile, it is one more reminder to all Ukrainians that we should stay cautious and careful. As this affects the health and life of our relatives,” Ukraine’s PM Denys Shmygal reported on Telegram.
