The situation with coronavirus incidence in Ukraine has become serious – the number of hospitalization cases has accelerated up to 19% during the past week as Head of the Health Economy Center of Kyiv Economy School Yuriy Hanichenko reported on Facebook.
“The load on the health system also accelerates the growth, with extra 23% of Covid patients during the past week. It is one of the most significant levels of growth during the past two months, we observe the gradual deterioration of the epidemic situation in Ukraine,” Hanichenko noted.
According to him, the hospitalizations outweigh the discharges by one-third; thus, the gap increases, and, correspondingly, the load on the health system will continue to grow in Ukraine.
Earlier, the Health Ministry of Ukraine has submitted a proposal to the Cabinet of Ministers to move the country to the "yellow" quarantine zone. Quarantine measures can be strengthened in all regions of Ukraine as early as Monday, September 13.
As we reported, Ukraine will be in the "red" quarantine zone no earlier than November and the lockdown cannot be avoided, according to chief sanitary doctor of Ukraine Ihor Kuzin.
