20,591 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Ukraine on November 17, the press service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reports.

Thus, since the beginning of the pandemic, 3 million 284 thousand 008 people have been infected with the coronavirus, 79 506 (+752 during the day) have died and 2 million 704 thousand 217 (+19 633) have recovered.

The largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Dnipropetrovsk (1,892), Zaporizhia (1,240), Donetsk (1,203) regions and in Kyiv city (1,483).

On the same day, 297,832 people were vaccinated against coronavirus.

108,754 people received the first dose, 189,078 people were fully immunized.

Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 12 million 554 thousand 335 people have been vaccinated, of whom 12 million 554 thousand 333 people received one dose and 9 million 257 thousand 319 people received two doses and are fully immunized. A total of 21 million 811 thousand 652 vaccinations were performed.

It is noted that 88.2% of those hospitalized with coronavirus last week were unvaccinated and did not have a single dose of anticovid vaccine.

As it was reported on November 16, the regions in Ukraine may begin to leave the red zone of epidemic danger, starting next week.

At the same time, For the first time in Ukraine, an anonymous coronavirus vaccination office was opened in Uzhhorod. It will work for those who have bought a Covid certificate and have not been vaccinated or do not want to disclose vaccination information due to family or religious beliefs.
