According to Lyashko, the adaptive quarantine will be introduced in Ukraine since May 2021.
“Approximately, I believe that from May 2021, we will have some sort of adaptive quarantine that would be easier. The seasonality of the virus will facilitate it, I believe, we will see a clear seasonality and in spring and summer period the coronavirus will decrease its activity and circulation,” Lyashko said.
Moreover, according to Lyashko, the vaccination of the population will start in Ukraine in spring and gradually, people will form immunity to the disease.
On December 8, Ukraine filed the first part of the application to the COVAX program for 8 million doses of vaccine against Covid-19. Meanwhile, the Public Health Center in Ukraine formed the categories for determination of priority groups of people who would get the vaccines against Covid-19 first. The second part of the application will be filed on December 14, 2020.
During the past 24 hours, 13,514 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 872,228 people infected; 480,348 people recovered (+15,327 in 24 hours) and 14,775 (+285) died.
