Covid-19: Makeshift hospital in Ivano-Frankivsk receives first patients

In Ivano-Frankivsk, the first patients were delivered to the makeshift hospital in Bohorodchany. However, due to the large number of patients who need hospitalization, Ivano-Frankivsk will prepare another temporary hospital for patients with coronavirus. This was announced by the mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk Ruslan Martsinkiv on his Facebook page.

As the local newspaper Galka reports, patients have begun to be delivered to the makeshift hospital.

A 56-year-old patient from Bogorodchansky district was the first to be delivered to the hospital. The second patient was a woman from Ivano-Frankivsk.

In the Bogorodchansky hospital, only 19 out of 250 beds are now vacant.

According to the mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk Ruslan Martsinkiv, another temporary hospital will be equipped in Ivano-Frankivsk to receive patients with coronavirus.

He noted that it will take up to two days to prepare the hospital.

As we reported earlier, emergency situations commission of Ivano-Frankivsk region has decided to establish a makeshift hospital for patients with coronavirus. This was announced by chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Health, Medical Assistance and Health Insurance Mykhailo Radutsky on his Facebook page.

According to Radutsky, the number of coronavirus patients in the region increased by almost 30% in the past day and their number quadruplicated in the past month.
