Court to consider motion on suspension of Acting Healthcare Minister on February 11

The District Administrative Court of Kyiv will consider a motion on the cancelation of the banning of Ulyana Suprun to fulfill the authorities of the Healthcare Minister on February 11 as Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleksandr Sayenko reported on Facebook.

According to him, the Justice Ministry promptly filed the proper motion on behalf of the government on February 5. It demands to cancel the measures of the provision of the lawsuit on the case toward the fulfillment of the authorities of the Healthcare Minister.

“Preliminary, the consideration will take place on February 11, 2019, at District Administrative Court of Kyiv. We hope for a fair and impartial decision of the court,” Sayenko noted.

As we reported, Suprun's role as acting health minister was questioned by MP from Radical Party of Lyashko Ihor Mosiychuk. The court explained that the decision was made as Suprun has dual citizenship. She holds both the Ukrainian and the U.S. passports.

The government of Ukraine expressed the support of Suprun as well as President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko did.
