Ukraine's court to consider activist Handziuk case on May 27

Kherson City Court will begin the consideration of the case on the attack at the public activist Kateryna Handziuk on May 27 at 11:00 p.m. as Judicial Authorities of Ukraine reported.

Yulia Bochko will be the judge.

Viktor and Nadia Handziuk, the parents of the deceased activist as well as her husband Serhiy are on the list of the victims.

Mykyta Hrabchuk, Volodymyr Vasyanovych, Vyacheslav Vyshnevsky, Serhy Torbin, and Viktor Horbunov are accused of the attack at Kateryna Handziuk.

On April 25, the Prosecutor General’s Office changed the suspicion of Vladyslav Manger from the organization of the murder to the organization of the beating.

On March 6, Vladyslav Manger, the suspect in the organization of murder of activist Kateryna Hanzdiuk, has been suspended from duty for a month

On February 11, Vladyslav Manger was served with charge papers in Handziuk’s murder. In his turn, Manger said that he would not escape from the country due to suspicion of organizing the murder of Handziuk.

The court ruled to arrest Manger until March 3 with the possibility of bail. However, later lawyer Dmitry Ilchenko has posted a bail for his client Kherson Regional Council Head Vladyslav Manger.

On February 19, Vladyslav Manger started to wear the digital bracelet.

On November 4, 2018, it became known that Kateryna Handziuk died at the age of 34. She was doused with sulphuric acid in July this year. According to preliminary information, her death was caused by blood clot's detachment. 

Besides, the doctors specified the cause for the death of Handziuk was specified. It was due to multiple organ failure and chemical burns.
