Solomensky District Court of Kyiv released on parole Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan accused of illicit enrichment and declaration of false information as 112 Ukraine reported.
“It is ordered to choose the restrictive measure in the form of personal guarantee for Volodymyr V. Omelyan. It is ordered to oblige the guarantors Youth and Sports Minister of Ukraine Ihor Zhdanov, MP Fedor Bendyuzhenko to provide the execution of the commitments by a suspect, particularly: to come to the NABU detectives on first demand, to report on the change of the residence place or place of work, pass the passport of the citizen of Ukraine, travel passport and other documents that allow crossing the border of Ukraine for the storage of the proper body of the state power,” judge Sergienko noted.
As we reported Ukraine’s Anti-Corruption Bureau informed Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan of suspected illicit enrichment.
NABU representatives stated that within the period from January 1, 2000 to April, 26, 2018 Omelyan received $77,500 of official income. And his expenses within the period from 2008 till April 26, 2015 were at least $123,214.
Later, NABU detectives claimed that the crimes of Omelyan are not grave so they will demand to choose the restrictive measure for the minister in the form of bail in the sum of almost $179,000.
