Court questions ex-MP Hanna Herman in case of Yanukovych

The Obolon District Court of Kyiv holds another session within the consideration of the state treason case of former president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. Today, Hanna Herman, the former adviser of Yanukovych is questioned as 112 Ukraine broadcasted.

Hanna Herman was the spokeswoman for Viktor Yanukovych who at that time held the position of the Prime Minister of Ukraine since May 6, 2004. She was also the chief of the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Later Herman was an advisor to the Party of Regions headed by Yanukovych. And then she became the MP of the Verkhovna Rada.

In 2010, she became the deputy head of the Presidential Administration and later an advisor of Yanukovych.

She is also well-known for her close cooperation with Paul Manafort, the ex-campaign chairman for U.S. President Trump accused of money-laundering and activity as an unregistered foreign agent. 

In October 2014, Hanna Herman announced that she leaves the policy.  

Yanukovych is charged with state treason, assistance in deliberate actions against Ukraine’s state border, sovereignty and territorial integrity and assistance in leading the aggressive war against Ukraine.
