Kyiv Court of Appeal upheld the decision of the Shevchenkivsky district court to arrest the suspect of having links with the militants, Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ivan Bezyazykov, until February 8, 2016. This was announced on air by the correspondent of "112 Ukraine" TV channel.
"The meeting started with half an hour delay and lasted about three hours. In the end, the Kyiv Court of Appeal dismissed the complaint of Bezyazykov’s lawyers, therefore upheld the decision of the Shevchenkivsky district court. This means that Colonel Ivan Bezyazykov will remain in jail until February 8,” the reporter said.
As 112.International reported, the Ukrainian officer was released from captivity of pro-Kremlin rebels in July. Earlier, Bezyazykov was detained by the SBU, Ukraine’s Security Service, and brought to trial under charges of collaboration with the militants.
