“Kyiv Court of Appeal summons you as a defendant for 11 a.m. of September 30, 2019,” the summon notice says.
The court will continue consideration of appeals of the ex-president’s defense against the verdict.
As it was reported earlier, Viktor Yanukovych was charged with state treason, assistance in deliberate actions against Ukraine’s state border, sovereignty and territorial integrity and assistance in leading the aggressive war against Ukraine.
The court found Yanukovych guilty of addressing the Russian President Putin and asking him to deploy troops in Ukraine. Besides, the court sentenced Yanukovych to 13 years of the detention for the state treason and complicity in the holding of the aggressive war against Ukraine by the Russian Federation.
Ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych wants to come back to Ukraine when the winner of the presidential run Volodymyr Zelensky will hold the post of the head of state.
