The Appeals Chamber of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court upheld the preventive measure in the form of round-the-clock house arrest for the head of the Department of Access to Public Information of the President’s office Svitlana Kondzelya. The correspondent of the channel "112 Ukraine" reports.
"The Appeals Chamber of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court upheld the decision of the trial court and left Svitlana Kondzelya under house arrest. At the same time, the prosecutor filed a motion for re-election of the restraint for the suspect in custody with the possibility of making a deposit of more than $300 thousand," – correspondent noted.
The prosecutor argued that Kondzelya could destroy documents, hide from the investigating authorities and meet with other members of an organized group.
The defense insisted that their client did not violate the conditions of house arrest, had elderly parents requiring care, and did not have the means to travel abroad and hide from the investigating authorities.
