The Shevchenkivsky Court of Kyiv has extended the arrest of Volodymyr Ruban, the Head of ‘Officer Corps’ suspected in the preparation of the terrorist acts and coup d’état in Ukraine up to July 2. The bail is not provided as a correspondent of 112 Ukraine reported.
The court session lasted about two hours; the prosecutor explained the appeal on the arrest by the possible escape and hindrance of the investigation by Ruban. An advocate insisted on the opposite decision and asked the court to change the restrictive measure.
Ruban was detained on March 8 at the Ukrainian checkpoint at the demarcation line of Donbas Conflict zone. It is stated that Ruban is suspected in the illegal handling of arms, preparation of a crime and terrorist action. Later the Shevchenkivsky District Court of Kyiv arrested Volodymyr Ruban, the Leader of Center of POW Release 'Officer Corps' for 60 days without a right to the bail.
On March 20, Kyiv Court of Appeal refused to change the measure of restraint for the head of the "Officer Corps" Center for the Release of Prisoners Volodymyr Ruban, thus leaving him in custody.
