The Appeal Court has canceled the decision of the District Administrative Court of Kyiv on the stop of action of the order on the illicit appointment of Naftogaz Head Yuriy Vitrenko as Head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NAPC) Oleksandr Novikov stated.
“On August 3, the Appeal Administrative Court has satisfied the appeal of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention and canceled the order of the District Administrative Court of Kyiv that stopped the action of the NAPC order to the Cabinet of Ministers,” the message says.
Novikov reminded that in its regulation the NAPC demanded from the government to cancel paragraphs 8 and 9 of the regulation of the government #370-r and break a contract with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Naftogaz Ukraine Yuriy Vitrenko.
“Due to the decision of the court, the order of the NAPC to the Cabinet of Ministers toward the illicit appointment of Chairman of Board of Directors of Naftogaz Ukraine should be fulfilled,” Novikov concluded.
On April 28, the Cabinet of Ministers officially reported the dismissal of Andriy Kobolev from the position of Naftogaz Head. The government held a general meeting of the stockholders of Naftogaz. The report of the company’s work for 2020 was considered.
It is noted that Naftogaz Ukraine will be chaired by Yuriy Vitrenko from April 29.
On June 15, Head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NAPC) Oleksandr Novikov noted that the order of the government on the appointment of Yuriy Vitrenko as Head of the Naftogaz Ukraine is illicit and the contract with him should be abolished.
On June 18, Kyiv District Administrative Court granted Prime Minister's appeal and cancelled the order of National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) on the illegality of the appointment of Yuri Vitrenko as the head of Naftogaz.
