Court calls Yanukovych for debates on state treason case on August 16-17

The Obolon District Court of Kyiv calls former president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych for the debates within the case on the state treason as the press service of the court reported.

The debates will take place on August 16-17, at 10:00 am. Russian city Rostov pointed as the place of the residence of Yanukovych.

As we reported Viktor Ovsiannikov was appointed as a new state advocate for the former president of Ukraine. During the talks with the journalist, he said that followed the proceeding through the internet and TV and noted the necessity to provide him more time for familiarizing with the case.

The previous lawyers of Yanukovych refused to participate in the debates the day before. It was ordered to provide the ex-president with a free advocate.

Yanukovych is charged with state treason, assistance in deliberate actions against Ukraine’s state border, sovereignty and territorial integrity and assistance in leading the aggressive war against Ukraine.
