Court arrests ship for illegal sand extraction in Sea of Azov

The court arrested the Russian ship-dredger in the case of illegal sand extraction in the Karkinit Bay in the Sea of Azov, as Yuriy Lutsenko, Ukraine’s Prosecutor General, wrote on his Facebook page.

According to the message, the Crimea’s Prosecutor’s Office is conducting a legal proceeding concerning the illegal sand extraction near Karkinit Bay in the Sea of Azov.

“As usual, Russia uses stolen sand for the illegal construction of the occupant’s bridge near Kerch,” Lutsenko noted.

The investigative judge has granted a request of the Crimean Prosecutor’s Office on the arrest of the suspected Russian company ship on Tuesday to recover the loss.
