Kyiv Court of Appeal puts businessman Tymophiy Nagorny in custody without a right for bail, as LIGA.net reported.
The decision was made at today’s session on October 22.
The court ruled to grant the defense’s motion and canceled the previous decision on arrest with a right for bail. The new one will last till November 30.
Nagorny was taken into custody in the courtroom.
Reportedly, on October 4, Nagorny was arrested with a right for bail. On October 8, Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) confirmed the detention.
Vesti news agency reported that after the bailment was made, State Judicial Administration issued the documents to release Nagorny from SBU detention facility, but after release, he appeared at the Court of Appeal.
The court session lasted for 15 minutes. The lawyer stated that Nagorny did not examine the case files and asked to postpone the consideration of the case. On October 11, Nagorny was released from the detention facility.
In addition, Oleg Valendyuk, the Head of Security Service Department in Kyiv, said that businessman Tymophiy Nagorny was supposed to create a political party to support Russia’s interests in Ukraine.
