Court appoints psychological examination of ex-Energy Minister Nasalyk

The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court appointed the psychological examination of former Energy and Coal Industry Minister Ihor Nasalyk with the use of the polygraph test as the court reported.

Thus, on October 7, the court received the appeal of Nasalyk’s lawyer Boyko with the request to appoint the psychological examination toward the ex-minister with the use of the polygraph and the experts should establish whether he has the psychophysiological reactions during the test, which witness that he received the funds in the sum of $1.249 million.

On October 16, the court partially granted the motion and appointed the psychological examination with the use of the polygraph test.

According to the investigation, in 2014, Ihor Nasalyk borrowed $1.249 million; however, he did not put information on the annual declaration.

The NABU detectives prepared a report on suspicion of Igor Nasalyk, the Minister of Energy and Coal Mining, over declaring false information.

Nasalyk states that the suspicion is politically motivated.

Earlier the NABU opened the criminal proceeding over alleged bribery in the amount of $20 million proposed to  Head of President’s Office Andriy Bohdan.
