Starobilsk district court of Luhansk region adjourned the preparatory meeting on Yefremov case until January 17. This was informed from the scene by the correspondent of "112 Ukraine" TV channel.

"Right now, the preparatory court hearing on the case of Yefremov was adjourned until 10 a.m. January 17. Prior to this, the judges satisfied the withdrawal of two of the three panel judges, who are considering the case. Therefore, the electronic system will define the new composition of the board, which should tomorrow consider the refusal of a free lawyer provided to the accused, as it was stated during the meeting,” the reporter said.

Earlier today, Yefremov’s defense did not appear in court. During the meeting, prosecutors offered to provide a lawyer from the center of free legal aid. Yefremov claimed that non-participation of his defense was a flagrant violation of his right to defend himself, and said he would “refuse anyway” answering prosecutor’s offer to involve a free lawyer.
