19-year-old Ukrainian Pavlo Gryb, who went to Belarus and hasn’t been located since, isn’t among the detained or arrested in Belarus detention centers, as Radio Svoboda journalist Valeriy Kalinovksiy told 112.UA Channel on air.
According to him, the Ukrainian consulate has been trying to locate the Ukrainian today. At the moment the consulate can only confirm that Pavlo Gryb isn’t at a detention center.
“The Consul of Ukraine in Minsk, who I’ve just talked to, Oleksandr Novoselov, told Radio Svoboda that the consulate has been working on this all day today, and they don’t have confirmed information on where the young man is. The law enforcement officials told him, that there isn’t a citizen with this name among the detained or arrested in Belarus detention centers,” Kalinovskiy said.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine confirmed that Pavlo Gryb crossed the Ukraine-Belarus border on August 24.
As it was reported earlier, officer of the Border Guard Service of Ukraine Igor Gryb wrote on Facebook that his son 19-years old Pavlo Gryb got lost in Belarus on August 24. His son went to Gomel on August 24 to meet a girl whom he knew from social networks.
